What is it?
OurLocalPages.com creates online portals for towns and cities.

How does it work?
Each local portal, or town, is operated by a Virtual Mayor. A Virtual Mayor is a local web entrepreneur interested in offering this free portal to their community.

I want to run my city's web portal. Is it hard?
Our portals are designed to be simple and useful aggregators of local information. Virtual Mayors are being "elected" on a first come, first serve basis. Contact us with the name of your town and we will give you the details on running your portal.

What is the cost of hosting my portal for my town?
FREE in 2008. Building your own portal the traditional way would include purchasing a web hosting account, running a database, working with developers for periodic maintenance, etc. Beginning in 2009 OurLocalPages.com will charge each Virtual Mayor $99/month for their city. By then, your local sponsor base should easily pay for this small fee.
